Welcome to the third Get the Games development blog! We’ve been consistently making weekly progress on developing Get the Games and are excited to get the service up and running. Here are some details on what we worked on during April 2022.
This past month, we spent most of our time preparing for our internal testing period. We’ve finished implementing crucial features that will be necessary for testing and launch.
Game Developer and Search Features
We’ve also finished working on our advanced game search functionality. This is one of the key features of Get the Games—it will allow players to search for games by tags and platforms, and it will also allow them to exclude games with content warnings that they want to avoid. This will make it much easier for players to find games they’re interested in and increase the discoverability of games on our service!
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be doing internal testing so that we can begin to open up for early access for other game developers. If you’re interested in being a part of the Get the Games early access program, you can fill out our survey here.
Thank you so much for reading our third monthly development blog! Make sure to follow us on Twitter to get weekly updates on our progress every Friday, and these larger retrospectives on the first Friday of every month!
